Peppy Wrecks

Peppy Wrecks is an installation consisting of an antique wardrobe divided into two parts and placed on a pile of sand. A text (You wouldn’t have guessed) and three pencil images are drawn on the wooden surface. One of these images is based on an old photograph taken towards the end of the 19th century, the others are invented to weave a story between the different elements. The artist refers to her own personal life, the role of women in general and the figure of women in contemporary art in Switzerland.
