Vue sur Jersey
2018 – 2020
Installation
Vue sur Jersey is an installation consisting of a photograph, antique furniture, sand, stones and a series of pencil drawings on paper based on old photographs taken during the Second World War in Contentin, Normandy. This project was initiated after the discovery of the ruins of an old telegraph situated, until the late 1970s, on Armanville beach’s dunes. The increase in coastal erosion is a worldwide problem, and Lower Normandy is no exception. Dune areas are the most exposed and are retreating every year.
